Chapter Events

Local chapters host several types of events. Each chapter is a little different and you are encouraged to check your local chapter(s) websites for their most current event schedule. Some have meetings with meals, some have discussion groups, others have seminars, volunteer opportunities, and so much more to offer. This site only lists a few of the available events offered by local chapters.

Local Chapters Posting Instructions

Events must be a Virginia SHRM Local Chapter sponsored event. All programs must be a minimum of a 1/2 day in length to qualify for posting. Submit your chapter’s half or full day event in word format to technologydirector@shrmva.org. Please include the following:

Virginia’s Voice of the HR Profession

Welcome to your Virginia SHRM State Council website. We provide HR professionals with information on local, statewide and national HR events, resources, initiatives and legislation to assist you in your day-to-day HR duties. For those who serve on local chapter boards, we are also here to assist you in your leadership role. We are a 100% volunteer council that takes a strategic approach to advance the profession and serve the HR professional.
